5 Local Schools Make Kentucky’s Best High School List

WESTERN KENTUCKY – US News & World Report has released its 2017 rankings for the best high schools in the state of Kentucky and several schools from our area made the list.
Murray High School was the highest ranked school from western Kentucky, coming in at No. 10 on the list. Other area high schools in the top 50 include McCracken County (24th), Marshall County (37th), Mayfield (40th), and Calloway County (45th).
Dupont Manual High School in Louisville was the state’s highest rated high school.
The schools are ranked on certain criteria such as test results, graduation rates and the college readiness index.
